Hayley nodded and led them over to a table where many Red Bull and Coke cans astrewn all over it.

"Sorry," Hayley apologized. "We're kinda running around right now, you know, pre-show nervousness."

As if on cue, the bassist from Paramore ran screaming from one end of the hall to the other. Hayley rolled her eyes.

Zanna stifled a laugh and said, "No problem. We're used to messes..." She laughed and looked and Monica, Luke, and Nick.

Hayley shrugged and ran off to the bathroom. Monica sat down on one of the couches and sighed deeply.

"I can't wait for the actual CONCERT," Luke complained.
"Oh, be patient. It's worth waiting for." Zanna said.

Carmen had come to see the Green day/Paramore/rock devils concert. Instead she pulled out her phone & texted Monica:

i'm not staying 4 the concert. need 2 leave & find place 2 stay. dont let eric no. he'll find out but telling him will hurt him 2 much.

Carmen got in her car, grabbing a bag on her way past her uncles home, & drove off.

Monica put away her phone and fished around in her pocket for her iPod. she stuck the headphones in her ears and turned on "Let the Flames Begin". She hummed the tune and looked up to see some smiling man standing right in her face. She gasped and leaped back, startled.

Zanna was slouched over over a couch next to Luke, who was staring at the news on TV. SQUIRRELS ATTACK PENGUINS IN ANTARCTICA! the screen showed and the reporters rolled on about the incident. Pictures blared on the screen.
She chewed her gum slowly, trying to kill time.

Monica regained her breath and looked at the man in the face coldly. "who are you?!"

"Your director," he said with a Spanish accent. "Why do you ask?"

Monica coughed. "You were in my face."

"Sorry," he apologized, obviously embarassed. "Well, you're on in an hour."

"Thanks," Monica mumbled.

"Have you heard? Squirrels attacked a penguin in Antarctica." Zanna said dully.
"Retarded." Luke rolled his eyes.

Monica grabbed a Strident gum off of the table and chewed it nonchalantly. soon the hour had passed, and they hadn't seen a glimpse of Green Day. Monica stood up dully, suddenly feeling the usual nervousness and slight cramp that normally came along with performing. She felt a rush of adrenaline when she saw Green Day's lead singer, Billie Joe, walking down the hall.

"Ooooh crap," Zanna whispered as she bolt off the couch and ran her hand down her hair. Luke leaped off the couch and stared in awe at Billie Joe.
"Finally here!!!" Zanna said.

Monica smiled to Billie, and he looked over with a huge grin.

"Glad you could make it," he said, and rushed as someone called his name.

Zanna smiled and nodded as her stomach filled with butterflies.

Green Day was performing first, so they ran onto the stage.

They started and a huge crowd began screaming. A group was holding up a pink neon banner that said "WE LOVE GREEN DAY!! <3333" On it.
